Light exfoliation 1 to 2 days before your appointment is recommended to help remove dead skin cells and allow for a smoother wax. Please avoid exfoliating the day of your appointment to prevent added sensitivity.
If needed, taking Tylenol or Ibuprofen about 30 minutes before your appointment is okay and may help reduce discomfort. Numbing cream is also fine to use — just be sure it’s applied according to the product instructions and fully absorbed before your service.

Hair should be at least the length of a grain of rice or longer for waxing to be effective. If your hair is at that length or beyond, you’re good to go — there’s no need to trim beforehand. Avoid trimming so the wax can properly grip the hair.

On the day of your service, wear loose, comfortable clothing, preferably breathable fabrics like cotton. Tight or restrictive clothing can cause friction and irritation after waxing.

Some redness or sensitivity after waxing is completely normal and typically subsides within a few hours. Everyone’s skin responds differently, and mild tenderness is to be expected, especially after your first appointment or during more sensitive times.
If you have any medical concerns, it’s always best to consult with your healthcare provider or contact emergency services.

For the first 24 hours after your appointment, please avoid:
hot showers or baths
workouts or activities that cause excessive sweating
saunas, steam rooms, or swimming
sexual activity, as friction and heat can irritate freshly waxed skin
Wearing loose, breathable clothing during this time will help keep the area comfortable and reduce irritation.
To support healing and maintain moisture, applying a light, body-safe oil to the area is recommended. Keeping skin hydrated helps promote comfort and reduces dryness as the skin settles.
Exfoliating can typically be resumed after 48 hours to help prevent ingrown hairs between appointments. Continue exfoliation 2 to 3 times a week.

You can still receive waxing services while on your period. For hygiene purposes, please arrive wearing a tampon or menstrual cup. Keep in mind that skin can be more sensitive during this time, so you may experience slightly more discomfort than usual.
If needed, taking Tylenol about 30 minutes prior to your appointment may help take the edge off sensitivity.
Waxing during pregnancy is generally safe, though hormonal changes can increase skin sensitivity. If you are pregnant, please let me know ahead of time so extra care can be taken to keep you comfortable during your service. If you have any medical concerns, it’s always best to consult with your healthcare provider before booking.

Most clients experience about 1½ to 2 weeks of completely smooth skin, followed by 1½ to 2 weeks of gradual regrowth. In total, waxing results typically last around 4 weeks.
Keep in mind that everyone’s hair growth cycle is different. Factors like hair texture, consistency of waxing, and individual growth patterns can all affect how long results last. With regular appointments, many clients notice finer regrowth and longer-lasting results over time.
